  26.  No war in American history cost so much. More American lives were lost
  27.  in the Civil War than in any other conflict before or since. The Civil
  28.  War was a tragedy for both the North and the South. The North won but
  29.  there really was no winner. The victory in many ways was empty and laid
  30.  siege around many of the problems we still face today.

  33.  War" which aired on PBS.
